A not-for-profit day school serving students who have multiple disabilities. Chartered in 1984, our school is certified by the New York State Education Department for public tuition funding. 

Hayes Day School is affiliated with Cardinal Hayes Home for Children, a NYS OPWDD certified residential Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD). Our school provides special education programs for many of the children who reside at Cardinal Hayes Home. 

We serve day students with special needs who reside in surrounding counties through contracts with public school districts. Ambulatory and non-ambulatory students, and those who are medically frail with chronic healthcare issues, are welcomed at Hayes Day School.
